It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Is it “Ho...Ho...Ho,” or "Bah Humbug?" Some people can't wait until Christmas gets here, and others can't wait 'til it's gone, regardless, Christmas will soon be upon us. Sheridan Media's Judy Hagerott hit the streets of Sheridan asking just where is Christmas going?

While the final count of attendees isn't in just yet, volunteers at the 22nd Annual Community Holiday Dinner say it was by far the best year ever. The Holiday Inn Convention Center was packed full of people enjoying a free meal and volunteering to help support the event. Even Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance.

In 1988, the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Auxiliary started the Trees of Light ceremony as a means to raise funds for the hospital. In 1989, the name was changed to Trees of Love. The ceremony is held every year on the first Sunday in December.

Authorities say a Cheyenne man faces felony charges because he is suspected of firing shots at an apartment complex over an argument about $60.

The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that 27-year-old Larry A. Turner is charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
