A federal judge has ruled that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service acted properly in prohibiting the Northern Arapaho Tribe from killing bald eagles for religious purposes on its central Wyoming reservation.
Big Horn Elementary student J.R. Scott was presented with one-hundred dollars in Chamber Bucks Friday at Sheridan City Hall for designing this year's Christmas Stroll button. Scott also received a framed piece of the original artwork and the first stroll button to go along with the Chamber Bucks.
Wyoming Governor Matt Mead announced Friday that Dayton resident Shelley Cundiff will take over as the new Circuit Court Judge in the Fourth Judicial District that makes up Sheridan and Johnson Counties. Cundiff will replace Judge John Sampson, who's announced his retirement at the end of the year. Cundiff says that she takes the position very seriously.
With winter's official entry this weekend, city officials in Sheridan County are reminding citizens to drive with snow compensation in mind. Mayor of Dayton, Bob Wood, said citizens should also park so plows can get through.
