A little over a year ago, the Downtown Sheridan Association moved into the former Maverick building on the corner of Main Street and Coffeen Avenue in Sheridan. DSA President John Smith says that the public has made good use of the South Gateway building.
There's Still Time to Win a Mountain Stay in Sheridan
Sheridan Travel and Tourism is offering people a chance to win a stay in authentic lodgings in the Big Horn Mountains. The contest ends at midnight on Friday. One entry per household is accepted, with vacation time available from this December through September.

Search and Rescue crews in Utah and Wyoming continue to look for a single engine aircraft that went missing earlier this week en route to Gillette. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter spoke with the aunt of the two passengers that were on the aircraft.
A Wyoming Indian tribe is asking a federal judge to reconsider a recent ruling that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service acted properly in prohibiting the tribe from killing bald eagles for religious purposes on its central Wyoming reservation.
