Wyoming Governor Matt Mead has announced details on his new budget proposal. In a media release from the governor's office, Mead says the proposal focuses on a more efficient government that positions the Cowboy State well for the future. Sheridan Media's Chris Foy has the story.

Road crews with the Wyoming Department of Transportation are preparing to close U.S. 14A west of Burgess Junction. The 22-mile stretch of mountain road is expected to close for the season at noon on Monday, December 3.

A media release issued by Visionary Communications stated that at 10:02 am Friday, a contractor ran an auger through a 24 pair fiber cable between Buffalo and Sheridan, affecting services for both communities for much of the day. The service was restored at 5:07 pm Friday.

Saturday will be full of events in Buffalo to help kick off the Holiday Season, culminating in the annual Chili Feed and Lighted Christmas Parade downtown.

Each year the Dog and Cat Shelter of Sheridan offers Pet Photos with Santa to help get our four legged friends into the Christmas spirit. The event is an annual fundraiser for the shelter. Co-Director of the Dog and Cat Shelter Sharon Johnson.
