Buffalo and Johnson County, as part of the Fourth Judicial District, now have a new judge whose seat will be in Buffalo's new judicial center, after a Robing Ceremony was held Monday morning in his brand new District Courtroom in Buffalo, with family, friends, guests and members of the community in attendance.

The Sheridan County Commissioners Monday morning held a special meeting to appoint Mike Nickel as the County representative for negotiations with the Lake DeSmet Counties Coalition and Johnson County regarding separation of water rights on Lake DeSmet. Commissioner Nickel says that progress is being made.
