With Christmas just around the corner, many local families might not be able to afford Christmas presents for their kids this year.

A couple of more weeks and the elections will be upon us and possibly a new President. But who really decides who wins and does your vote count? The electoral college makes the final decision.

It was pretty hard not to notice all the pink around Sheridan Saturday. It was the 4th annual “The Link-Partners in Pink,” a breast cancer awareness walk/run.

The Sheridan College Outdoor Adventure Club will be hosting its first annual community gear swap on Saturday, November 10th, at the Watt Agricultural Building.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department announced this weekend that two management units for gray wolf, areas 4 and 6, are closed for hunting the species. The Jackson Management Unit, known by hunters as Area 4, closed Saturday after the quota of three wolves was reached.

The newest cottage in the Green House community in Sheridan, designed specifically for elderly people who require active nursing care, was displayed in an open house Saturday.

The Sheridan Recreation District awarded a job bid to Norwood Construction for the renovation of the Oatts Baseball Field.

Two bills headed for introduction in the Legislature this winter would attempt to encourage more use of natural-gas powered vehicles in Wyoming. One bill would transition up to half of the state's vehicle fleet to run on compressed natural gas by 2017.
