Children with the Tongue River Valley Community Center After School Program made a very special donation Wednesday to the Sheridan Homeless Shelter.

The Sheridan Area Water Supply Joint Powers Board agreed unanimously Wednesday night to submit a request for a conditional use permit for a new clearwell at the Big Goose Water Treatment Plant.

Authors John Nesbitt and Robert Roripaugh will present a lecture on “The Western Novel: History, Lore and Practice,” Friday March 11 at Sheridan College in Johnson County, beginning at 7pm.

The Johnson County Library will offer a program entitled “Tamers: Women Who Built the West” this Friday at 7pm.

Property tax refunds and adjustments were approved by the Johnson County Commissioners at last week's meeting.

Johnson County Assessor Cindy Rogers brought three separate refunds and adjustments to the commission's attention, saying the land owners had been overtaxed on recent appraisals of their property.
