Buffalo's Bread of Life Food Pantry is constantly in need of donations, but this time of year there seems to be more of a need, and also a need for their Thanksgiving Dinner Drive.

The Lake DeSmet Counties Coalition Joint Powers Board had their monthly meeting in Sheridan Thursday night, and a number of citizens from both Sheridan and Johnson Counties showed up to voice their concerns and ask questions in response to a report earlier in the week that NERD Gas had apparently decided against the site for their proposed natural gas to gasoline plant.

The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a winter storm warning through noon on Saturday for the Sheridan foothills. Meteorologist Joe Lester says that this is shaping up to be the first big snow event of the year for our area.
