The Sheridan City Council got their first look at the new Utilities Manager at their meeting Monday night, as Dan Roberts was introduced to the Council. Roberts explains what he hopes to bring to the position.
The York Place planned unit development on East Montana Street in Sheridan was originally proposed as 24 infill units of affordable housing. Each unit was to be a duplex, that more resembled a home than a duplex, but the project folded and went into foreclosure after only four units were built.
The shooting spree in Tucson, Arizona on January 8th, left six citizens dead and fourteen injured, including Arizona Representative Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot in the head and who is recovering in an Arizona Hospital.
There was a moment of collective silence Saturday as everyone held their breath while the name was drawn. The winner would receive over $2,500 in prizes and services from the 26 vendors on hand at Sheridan Media’s annual Bridal Prevue held in the atrium of the Holiday Inn.
The Sheridan City Council will work with a light agenda this evening, as there are only a handful of items to be considered. The defunct housing project on east Montana Street known as York Place may be getting a breath of fresh air.
