Former Campbell County Principal Charged

GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - A former Campbell County high school principal and an aide have been charged with using a district credit card to buy more than $1,600 worth of electronics and weight equipment for personal use.

Pickup Likely Started Wyoming Wildfire

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The U.S. Forest Service believes a pickup started a wildfire in Medicine Bow National Forest near the Colorado line. Fire Management Officer Vern Bentley says the Illinois Creek Fire was started by someone parking a diesel-powered pickup over dry grass. Bentley says the driver might have been unaware that the grass caught fire.

Wild Horse Roundup Protests

A wild horse gathering that is scheduled to begin in a few weeks in southwest Wyoming has stirred up protests from activists who are opposing the planned action.
