It’s still all about community service as members of the Big Horn Woman’s Club threw a party for its 100th birthday and everyone was welcome.  The woman’s club began in September 1910 with an exclusive membership of 12 carefully selected women who gathered in homes to study world affairs, geography, history, and literature.

If ‘A’ is for apple, ‘B’ is for boy, and ‘C’ is for cat, then what is ‘G’ for?  ‘G’ is for God, at least, that’s what Pastor Scott Lee of Bethesda Worship Center hopes students returning back to school will remember.

Old Faithful is certainly still faithful. But...well, she's undergone some changes. Sheridan Media's Betsy Love has the story...

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A former retirement home worker has been
sentenced to probation in the death of a woman whose wheelchair he didn't strap down in his van.
A Natrona County District Court judge sentenced 43-year-old Jeffrey Goltermann on Friday to serve one to five years of supervised probation and pay $2,500 in restitution.

While there has been much debate over extending health insurance coverage to more Americans, there has been less talk about regions where insurance can almost become a moot point. That's because many rural areas, such as parts of Wyoming, have a severe shortage of health care providers.

Participation numbers continue to rise for the various programs offered by the Sheridan Recreation District. The recent Mullinax tennis tournament had 64 participants, which is the biggest turnout that they've ever had. Recreation District Director Richard Wright says that Little Guy Football is also experiencing record numbers.

Yesterday we reported that with the ever-increasing enrollment numbers at Sheridan College, students have had to be put on a wait list because there just isn't “enough room at the inn” when it comes to classroom availability and smaller staffing. Part of this dilemma comes from the need for more facilities, and partly from funding issues.
