Much of Monday night's Sheridan City Council meeting centered around the award of bids for phase one of the Pathways Project. The Council awarded the majority of the project to Excel Construction of Sheridan in the amount of $158,000.

Five members from Sheridan Fire-Rescue competed in the regional Firefighters Combat Challenge held over the weekend in Casper. Firefighter Greg Luhman was one of the participants in the competition, and he explains that the Sheridan Fire-Rescue team did very well.

There has been recent vandalism at Scott Bicentennial Park in Dayton that has Town officials concerned. Dayton Mayor Bob Wood says that they will do whatever is necessary to find whomever is responsible for the crimes.

At approximately 2:30 Sunday afternoon crews with the Goose Valley Fire Department responded to a hay fire on Paradise Park Road in Sheridan County. Goose Valley Fire Chief Bob Williams.

Williams says that due to a quick response time, crews had the fire under control soon after arriving on scene.

During a special session today the Sheridan County Commissioners approved the tax levies for this fiscal year. County Administrative Director Renee Obermueller:

While there is a big change in the overall assessed valuation in Sheridan County, there is only one shift in relative appropriation of levies:

Montana health officials say contaminated well water from a resort near Yellowstone National Park has sickened 80 people.
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services says at least 70 more cases are probably linked to the water from Campfire Lodge Resort located outside West Yellowstone, Mont., near Hebgen Lake.
