H.O.G. Heaven in Sheridan

There’s no mistaking that unique, irregular rumble that a Harley Davidson makes, but bring close to 200 of the motorcycles to town and you have a party.  The Wyoming State H.O.G. Rally – that’s Harley Owners Group – is meeting this weekend in Sheridan.

The North Main reconstruction project is one of the largest public works projects in the history of Sheridan. Not only is WYDOT replacing the street and aging infrastructure, but there are a lot of enhancements being done to beautify the North Main area.

Buffalo Game Warden Jim Seeman was awarded the 2009 Peer Recognition Award at a Wyoming Game and Fish Department Sheridan region meeting held in Story this week. Seeman comments on being honored by his peers.

Some Changes to Boot Kick-Off

The boot kick-off event has become an annual tradition of Rodeo Week over the years, and it has typically been held Tuesday night of Rodeo Week at Kendrick Park. This year, the event will take place at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds this Saturday, July 10th at 4 pm. Sheridan WYO Rodeo Board member Linda St. Clair explains the reason for the change.

CUP Approved For New Clearmont Fire Station

The Sheridan County Commissioners approved a Clearmont Fire District Conditional Use Permit during a special session today. The purpose of the permit is to allow a fire station to be built on land which is zoned Agricultural. Commissioner Steve Maier:

Single Ladies! Bid on cowboys for a good cause at the 3rd Thursday Street Festival in Sheridan July 15th.

While next week is Rodeo Week, the calendar also falls so that the July 3rd Thursday Street Festival takes place as well. This month, all the single ladies are invited to bid on boots and hats, and the cowboys contained between the two.

County P&Z Denies Subdivision Request - Again

The Sheridan County Planning and Zoning Commission once again denied a request from Toby and Marie Johnson to subdivide 25.5 acres of property into an 11 lot subdivision. The property is located off of Highway 335 near Big Horn. The preliminary plat was originally denied by the Commission on May 5th.
