Hoop Jam 2010

It was all about competition paired with good old-fashioned fun at this weekend’s 10th Annual Hoop Jam 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, held at Whitney Plaza in Sheridan.

159 teams from 3rd grade through adult, from across Wyoming and Montana, competed for prizes at the event.  The plaza was jam-packed as crowd estimates pushed the number well past the 900 mark. 

Kleenburn Celebrates Fishing Day

The official dedication of the new Kleenburn Recreation Area, in conjunction with the Wyoming Game & Fish Free Fishing Day, brought out over 150 people to enjoy a nice summer day Saturday.  And it sure didn’t hurt that the Sheridan County Commissioners served up lunch for the crowd either.

Museum Hosts Community Appreciation Day

Saturday, the Sheridan County Historical Society and its museum hosted its third annual Community Appreciation Day at the museum.  The event commemorated the Historical Society’s 50th anniversary, but also was a celebration of the fact that the mortgage of the 6,800 square foot museum was paid off last December.

Community Resource Expo Thursday

Nearly thirty service organizations are coming together in one location this Thursday, June 10th to offer the public an opportunity to learn about how they may be of assistance for a wide variety of needs.

Senior Center Needs Your Vote

The Sheridan Senior Center is in need of your assistance – a shameless request for a vote, if you will. Director of Development Rindy West explains.
