Today we wrap up our series on Sheridan Travel and Tourism. Here's Sheridan Media's Ron Richter with more.

The Ranchester Town Council approved the purchase of a new compact loader at their meeting Tuesday night. Councilman Dennis Dunn tabled the matter at their previous meeting, stating that he need to discuss the necessity of the loader with the town foreman before he could make a decision on the purchase.

The traveling exhibit, “Visions of the Universe: Four Centuries of Discovery” has been a fixture on the mezzanine at the Sheridan County Library for the past three weeks. The Library has also been hosting several programs in conjunction with the exhibit, with the latest to take place this Sunday afternoon. Fulmer Library Director, Cathy Butler explains.

U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, spent the morning with U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner explaining the importance of lending to small businesses and outlining why the federal government needs to live up to its promise to pay Wyoming's Abandoned Mine Land money back to the state.

Sheridan County Commissioners made quick work of their agenda Tuesday morning, concluding the meeting in 17 minutes.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Governor Dave Freudenthal is proposing an excise tax on wind energy production in Wyoming, with 60% of revenues going to the state and 40% going to local governments. Freudenthal outlined his goals for wind industry legislation on Monday in advance of the legislative session that begins next week.
