Verdict is in on David Selig Trial

Update: The verdict is in on the David Selig case heard in Sheridan County Circuit Court Wednesday. A 6-person jury and one alternate waded through thorough and detailed testimony on three different charges, presented by prosecuting attorney Christopher LaRosa. They came back with their verdict just after 8 o'clock Wednesday night.

Representative Tim Hallinan of Gillette Recovering After Open Heart Surgery

GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - Republican state Representative Tim Hallinan of Gillette is recovering from open heart surgery. The 64-year-old Hallinan underwent multiple-bypass surgery at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper on Monday.

County Planning Commission Tables Prairie Hills Rezone

The Sheridan County Planning and Zoning Commission tabled a request by Prairie Hills LLC/Jane Clark to rezone 96.4 acres of a 227 acre parcel from urban residential to industrial 2, which is considered light industrial. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the details.

Drum And Bugle Corps Continues Their Fundraising Efforts For Trip To Philadelphia

The 7th Cavalry Drum and Bugle Corps in Sheridan is in the process of raising funds for their trip to Philadelphia, where they have been invited to perform at the 4th of July parade in the City of Brotherly Love. Their overall goal is to raise $60,000 for the trip, $41,000 of which is for travel expenses, with the other $19,000 being for new instruments and uniforms.

School District 1 Employee Has Initial Appearance in Circuit Court Tuesday

In Sheridan County Circuit Court Tuesday afternoon, Barbara Yalowizer made her Initial Appearance before Judge John Sampson. Yalowizer's attorney, Harlan Rasmussen, requested that she be released on her own recognizance and given a $1,000 unsecured bond.
