Motorists traveling on North Main in Sheridan have no doubt traversed through the construction area near Fort Road. WYDOT Public Involvement Specialist Ronda Holwell reminds us that there is a sudden decrease in speed that people need to be aware of.

Kristopher Schortmann of Sheridan and Cory Tasler of Dayton were ordered to pay over $7,000 in fines and restitution and had their hunting and fishing privileges suspended for a combined nine years for several Game and Fish violations.

Saying that it is truly a "philosophical debate," U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis called Sheridan Media Thursday to voice her impression of the Health Care Summit held in Washington D.C.

During their regular monthly meeting Wednesday night, the Hand-in-Hand Early Childhood Education Center took an important step forward in its planned evolution of its Board of Directors. Longtime board members Mark Englert and Mayor Dave Kinskey tendered their resignations, as the Board is in the process of transitioning into more of a working Board.

A few years ago, the City of Sheridan and Sheridan County implemented the Reverse 9-11 System. Cyndi Godwin is the Communications Supervisor in charge of the Dispatch Center at the Sheridan Police Department. She explains why the system was put in place.

In the continuing effort to bring healthy programs to the Sheridan Community, a series of five classes is coming to the Sheridan Senior Center. Called "Dining with Diabetes in Wyoming," the University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service and the Wyoming Diabetes Prevention and Control Program are coordinating the efforts.

Numerous navy blue corduroy jackets bearing the FFA patch will be seen at Sheridan High School Thursday, as the school's chapter participates in National FFA Week. Other ways they have been observing the week, which runs February 20th - 27th, Chapter President Vicky Nesbitt says.

The Dayton Town Council held a public hearing Wednesday night regarding the Town's snow plow ordinance. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has more.

Senate Republicans announced this week that U.S. Senators John Barrasso and Mike Enzi are two of of the seven senators that the party is sending to President Obama's health care summit. U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis says that the people of Wyoming's voice will be heard at the summit.
