NASA launched the Space Shuttle Endeavour last week where it has now rendezvoused with the International Space Station. Yellowstone National Park Spokesman Al Nash tells us that there is a little piece of Wyoming that went along for the ride.

The Ranchester Town Council agreed to move forward with a grant application through the Wyoming Business Council that would allow the town to purchase a little over an acre of property that would be leased to Thumper Incorporated. Ranchester Mayor Cliff Clevenger.

Governor Dave Freudenthal addressed several key legislative issues at a news conference Tuesday, including wind regulation, school construction and gun policy. Freudenthal says he remains committed to passing common sense regulations for Wyoming's wind energy industry.

Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns will be holding their 14th annual Hearts Build Homes Banquet in Sheridan a week from this Saturday. Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Jessica Lindsley says there are plenty of entertaining things planned for the evening.

Of the few action items taken by the Sheridan County School District 1 Board at their February meeting Tuesday night, Trustees in Executive Session approved a list of six early retirement requests for four certified and four classified employees. Superintendent Sue Belish.

At Tuesday's Sheridan County Commission meeting, Commissioners considered and approved a resolution that would require a 5-acre minimum tract for new subdivisions in areas where groundwater protection is a concern. Specifically, this would look with a future eye toward cluster subdivisions which would enable smaller lots using enhanced septic technology.

The February meeting of the Sheridan County District 1 Board of Trustees was more of an informational meeting than one of much action, as Trustees and Superintendent Sue Belish discussed the ongoing frustrations with the Wyoming School Facilities Commission and changes they've been implementing on the Big Horn High School and Elementary School construction project.

Sheridan County Commissioners Tuesday considered and approved an FAA draft Grant Agreement for the upcoming rehabilitation project for Runway 14/32 at the Sheridan County Airport.

There was plenty of debate by the Sheridan City Council Tuesday night about developing a random drug testing policy for the Sheridan Police and Fire Departments. Council approved a resolution that would direct the Interim Police Chief and Fire Chief to work with their employees on crafting a thorough random drug and alcohol policy.
