Twelve photographers were presented $100 each for their winning photographs in Sheridan County Museum's Calendar Photo contest at a reception at Photo Imaging Center on November 23rd. 

With a theme this year of “Your Backyard and Beyond,” Mary Ellen McWilliams with the Sheridan County Historical Society tells us that the contribution to the contest was phenomenal.

Wyoming may be known as the Equality State – being the first state to give women the right to vote. But, most people probably do not know that it was Wyoming's first territorial governor, John Campbell, who made certain that right was not taken away.

Though they originally planned to open sometime in December, there has been a change of plans concerning Meadowlark Ski Resort, says Holli Jones, co-owner of Meadowlark:

42-year-old Thomas Wyman changed his plea to Guilty on several counts in 4th Judicial District Court Tuesday. Per a plea agreement with the State, one of the seven counts was dismissed and two were amended to misdemeanor status.

The 15th Annual Christmas Stroll will get underway later today in downtown Sheridan with festive entertainment and great deals from local businesses.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation has awarded a contract to Intermountain Construction and Materials of Gillette for a project on Big Goose Highway. The project will get underway in the spring of 2011 and is expected to be completed by fall of 2011.
