LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - The University of Wyoming's School of Energy Resources has received $3.2 million in new solar energy research grants. One of the grants is $2.4 million from the U.S. Department of Energy. The other is $750,000 from NASA.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Public Service Commission has dismissed a complaint from a union that claimed Rocky Mountain Power had retaliated against it for intervening in the power company's request for a rate hike. Reports state that the three-member commission on Thursday dismissed a complaint filed by the Utility Workers Union of America against Rocky Mountain Power.

City of Sheridan Park and Recreation personnel contacted the Sheridan Police Department this past week to alert them of a series of malicious destruction and vandalism that took place over the weekend of October 8th through the 10th at Kendrick Park in Sheridan. Sheridan Police Detective Sergeant Tom Henry fills us in on just what was done.

An man died from injuries he received while horseback riding in the Big Horn Mountains this week. The man was initially taken to the Johnson County Memorial Hospital following the accident. However, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Department, the case was handed over to the Big Horn County Sheriff's Department because of where the accident occurred.
