Ruling delayed on charges against former officer

RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) - A circuit court judge in Rawlins has taken under advisement a case against former Rawlins police captain and Carbon County commissioner Adam "Lee" Meacham. The 45-year-old Meachem is charged with sexual assault,
soliciting a child to participate in illicit acts, furnishing alcohol to minors and other crimes.

Ranchers Wary Of moving bison to Guernsey park

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Some ranchers are opposed to a proposal to move 14 wild Yellowstone bison to a state park in southeast Wyoming, despite assurances from state officials that the animals are free of an animal disease that can cause abortions among cattle.

Wyoming Troopers Seizing Marijuana On Interstate

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers have confiscated nearly 100 pounds of marijuana worth about $265,000 in just more than a week from motorists traveling along Interstate 80. Patrol Sgt. Steve Townsend says the harvesting season for pot growers is from early October through December, and that most of the pot is then transported east.
