While the first ever wolf hunting season is set to begin soon in Montana and Idaho, things are still being handled in the courtroom for Wyoming.

Last year Dowl-HKM engineers completed a Level One water study for Sheridan County that showed a need for the acquisition of more water for the area. As the Wyoming Water Development Commission gets ready to start a Level Two water study and they are asking our community for their ideas on what we would like to see in future water development.

Towing crews were finally able to remove the wreckage of a truck and camper trailer from Red Grade Road yesterday morning. After four hours of work last week the wreckage had been moved nearly 300 feet uphill to near the point where it went over the edge last month. Red Grade was closed again yesterday morning while the camper and truck were loaded onto wreckers for the removal.

The Sheridan Habitat for Humanity organization has a busy fall in store. There are four units in three buildings under construction. Today there is a free concert in Kendrick Park to help garner donations for the group. Habitat Executive Director Jessica Lindsley says donations are appreciated.

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The Wyoming Department of Employment says occupational fatalities decreased 31% from 2007 to 2008. It's the largest single-year drop since the department began keeping records in 1993.

The old Highland Park School on Avon Street in Sheridan is the location where you can go to donate blood today and tomorrow.

Donors need to be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Donors who are 16, and in some states 17, must have signed permission from a parent or guardian.

GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - The owner of a Gillette auto sales yard says the driver of a pickup truck hit 11 vehicles at the business before driving away on Saturday morning.

Forward Sheridan asked the Sheridan City Council to sponsor a grant to the Wyoming Business Council for a new facility to help start-up businesses. The proposed 9,000-square-foot building would house the Forward Sheridan offices, but the rest of the space could be used to provide a temporary location for new businesses.
