The 33rd Annual Dayton Days will get underway this week with numerous events planned for Thursday through Sunday. One of the organizers, Kathy Alley, tells us about the kickoff event to be held Thursday night.

The governmental spending that has occurred since the Obama administration took office earlier this year has many republicans and even moderate democrats concerned over an ever growing deficit.

Wyoming parents are being encouraged to do some detective work and check their homes for toys marketed under the name of the C-S-I television series. Two children's detective kits have been found to be contaminated with asbestos, and the toy manufacturer, Planet Toys, has settled a lawsuit that entitles families to a refund.

Fifteen counties in Wyoming are slated for wildlife habitat conservation projects using over $350,000 in new grants from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
 
In addition to Sheridan County, the 2009 grants will fund projects in 14 other counties including, Bighorn, Natrona, Park, Teton, Washakie and Weston.

The Sheridan Country Club has boasted a 9-hole golf course for nearly 90 years. Since the 1960’s, Country Club members have had visions of expansion. Country Club President Chuck Hutton.
