ARSON SUSPECT MAKES FIRST APPEARANCE IN COURT

A 37-year-old Sheridan man has been arrested for allegedly setting a vehicle on fire last Thursday night. Shane Magestro made his initial appearance in Sheridan County Circuit Court yesterday. Magestro has been charged with arson and felony property distruction.

SHERIDAN CITY COUNCIL HEARS FROM PUBLIC ON IDEAS FOR FUTURE OF THORNE-RIDER PARK

Recently, the City of Sheridan has been devoting more resources to improving the parks and pathways system throughout the community. Part of that effort has included encouraging the public to bring to the table their vision of what the parks should be. The Thorne-Rider Park Steering Committee presented those concepts to the City Council yesterday.

ROLLOVER ACCIDENT ON INTERSTATE 90 CLAIMS LIFE OF DRIVER

A single vehicle accident on Interstate 90 yesterday, claimed the life of the driver. Just before 2:00 yesterday afternoon, an International commercial truck was driving eastbound on Interstate 90. For an unknown reason the driver lost control of the vehicle and it went off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected and skidded across both lanes of traffic into the median.

BUFFALO WOMAN HAS PRELIMINARY HEARING IN FIRST DEGREE MURDER CASE

Last month a woman walked into the Johnson County Criminal Justice Center and told law enforcement officers that she had killed her husband. 46-year-old Leah Benjamin was taken into custody and officers were dispatched to her home. They found her husband Donald Benjamin deceased with three gunshot wounds.
