RENEW of Sheridan received a gift in the amount of $4,100 Tuesday from the Sheridan Church of Christ. RENEW Day Service Coordinator Amanda Kielman was instrumental in making the home adoption possible.

The Ranchester Town Council listened to a concerned resident at their meeting last night. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

This Sunday is community appreciation day at the Sheridan County Museum, where admission is only $2 all day, and kids twelve and under get in free. Museum Director Dana Prater explains that they've got a lot of special things planned for this Sunday. The museum will be open Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.

Several months ago, the Sheridan City Council did not take action on a community development block grant and planned unit development request for Emerson Commons. At the time the Sheridan Housing Action Committee had proposed to develop the property with a 10 unit residential complex.

The North Main Area Master Plan appeared before the Sheridan City Council last night. The plan is not designed as a regulatory tool but more of a guide for future development on the north end of town. The process to create the plan has taken more than a year, and North Main Neighborhood Association Member Robin DeBolt says it has been worth it:

A Washington man was very lucky when the semi-truck he was driving rolled on Interstate 90 just west of the Piney Creek Interchange. 53-year-old Gary Woodhead was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 when a wind gust caught his trailer and forced him off the road.

Brundage Lane has construction projects in three separate locations. The furthest west is the joint City of Sheridan/Sheridan County reconstruction of the street from the Airport to Big Horn Avenue. The original plan included asphalt covering the street. Lower construction costs and overall durability caused the City and County to change the project and use concrete.

Vehicles parked all up an down Main Street in Sheridan may not be a very rare occurrence. Show vehicles parked downtown, from classic hot rods to brand new supercars, means the KARZ Club Rod Run. Mark Wells is the event chairperson.

What did everyone else think of the show?

The Sheridan County Fairgrounds were crowded on Friday night for a night of country music. Bucky Covington and Blake Shelton headlined the show hosted by the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Gold Buckle Club. Several dozen people even showed up hoping to walk away with more cash in their pocket than when they arrived.

Pyrotechnician and Wyoming State Senator Bruce Burns once again planned the 4th of July Fireworks Celebration at the Big Horn Equestrian Center. He gathered five different fireworks choreographers that put the display to music. Teka Brock and her band provided entertainment in the hours before the show.
