Flash Flooding in Johnson County Late Sunday

Severe thunder storms moved through Johnson County and Natrona County late yesterday afternoon, producing large hail and knocking out power in some areas. A flash-flood warning went out yesterday afternoon at about 1:30.

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Officials with the Shakespeare in the Parks program say it is facing one of the hardest financial years in its 37-year history due to the recession.

Tea Party Draws Crowd To Kendrick Park On Saturday

On April 15th this year organizations around the country held “tea parties” to protest current governmental agendas and fiscal policies. The local event drew a large crowd to downtown Sheridan.

World Champion Crowned But Not In Rodeo Event

It was another record year for the Sheridan WYO Rodeo and many top ranked cowboys competed in this year’s event. There is one unofficial rodeo event that also seems to get more popular each year and 2009 was no exception. In fact, the 2009 Koltiska Butt Darts World Champion was crowned on Saturday night.

Street Dances Popular After-Rodeo Event

Most of last week’s events revolved around the Sheridan WYO Rodeo. One of the most popular of those is the pair of annual street dances in downtown Sheridan. Thousands of people attended the dances on Friday and Saturday nights. With that many people on Main Street, security is always an issue.
