CHURCH ANNIVERSARY

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A church described as the first Lutheran church in the Wyoming territory is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
In 1884, the Rev. Frederick Andreason organized 31 people into what has become St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cheyenne.

FREE CLINIC

POWELL, Wyo. (AP) - A free medical clinic in Powell for
low-income people has been in operation for a year now. The Heart Mountain Volunteer Medical Clinic opened in July 2008 and is run and staffed by doctors, nurses, receptionists, a pharmacist and other support-service representatives who volunteer their time.

EDUCATION SUMMIT

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - State education leaders say they're looking for new ways to improve Wyoming's high school graduation rate, which ranks about in the middle compared to other states.
Preventing students from dropping out will be the focus of a summit hosted by the State Board of Education and Wyoming P-16 Education Council Aug. 5-6 in Cheyenne.
