Sheridan County School District Two received a clean audit for fiscal year 2009. The Board of Trustees approved the audit report at their monthly meeting Monday night. District Two Business Manager Roxie Taft likens the audit to a students report card.

The Sheridan County Fulmer Library is home to several exhibits this month that are centered around the Christmas holiday. Director of Programming, Anita Weisheit explains.

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon will take place this Wednesday at the Sheridan Holiday Inn. Chamber Director Janelle Martinsen tells us what they've got planned for the last Chamber Luncheon of the year.

The luncheon will begin at 11:30am this Wednesday at the Holiday Inn and is $15 per person.

Five young people in their 20’s decided to spend Saturday riding snowmobiles in the Bighorn Mountains. Sometime during their ride, they lost track of their location and using cell phones reported their situation to the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office in Wyoming.

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - First-year head coach Dave Christensen has Wyoming in a bowl game. The Cowboys will play Fresno State in the New Mexico Bowl on December 19th in Albuquerque, N.M., in a match-up of teams from the Mountain West Conference and the Western Athletic Conference. Christensen says the team is excited to be playing in the post-season.

The Sheridan Community Holiday Dinner has been a tradition for nearly two decades. The first few years there were several hundred meals served each Christmas season. Yesterday, over 1,200 people enjoyed a full holiday meal for free. Holiday Inn General Manager Mark Demple says they have hosted the event all 19 years.

On Friday, a Federal magistrate ordered a 28-year-old Sheridan man to be held in custody until his trial in U.S. District Court. Christopher Brown faces three counts of child pornography charges and could receive up to 50 years in prison if convicted.

The Annual Holiday open house at the Trail End State Historic Site was one of several holiday events that took place over the weekend. For three days visitors get a chance to see the Kendrick Mansion the way it may have looked around Christmas time nearly 100 years ago.
