The Six Finalists For Sheridan Police Chief Get A Chance To Meet The Public In Sheridan City Council Chambers

All six of the candidates vying for the job of Sheridan Police Chief are in town going through a rigorous and thorough interview process. Thursday night each candidate opened themselves up to the public at a special meet and greet at Sheridan City Hall.

The Annual Kids Christmas Party At The Kalif Shrine Temple Is This Saturday

The Klowns of the Kalif Shrine will be holding their annual kids Christmas Party this Saturday at the Kalif Shrine Temple on Loucks Street in Sheridan. Kids will receive free gifts including Christmas stockings full of goodies. Kalif Klowns President Warren Pearson says that there will be a lot more than just stockings for the kids.

Historical Societies Dinner Will Focus On The History Of the PK Ranch

The monthly Sheridan County Historical Society Dinner next Thursday will be a joint venture with the Big Horn City Historical Society, and it will focus on the long history of the PK Ranch presented by Ken Kerns. Mary Ellen McWilliams with the Sheridan County Historical Society says the Christmas Dinner will be a little bit different than the norm.

District Court Gives Oral Decision On Preliminary Injunction Over Police Chief Records

Last week 4th Judicial District Court Judge John Fenn heard arguments at a hearing concerning a lawsuit between the City of Sheridan and the Sheridan Press. The newspaper had asked the court to place a preliminary injunction on the City that would effectively halt the police chief hiring process that is underway.

City Of Sheridan Releases Remaining Candidate’s Information

There are six finalists for the position of Sheridan Police Chief and the City of Sheridan released the biographies of the remaining 3 candidates this morning.

David Jess is currently the Deputy Chief of Police in Maple Grove, Minnesota and has held that position for four years. He started as a patrol officer in Maple Grove 24 years ago and has a masters degree in police leadership.

Driver Of Car In Fatal Accident Charged With Homicide

The driver of a car involved in a one vehicle accident last spring has been charged with aggravated homicide by vehicle. 23-year-old Jerald Roberts was arraigned in 4th Judicial District Court this week. Roberts pled not-guilty to the homicide charge.

Woman Who Brought Alcohol Into Detention Center Receives Jail Time

A woman who used to work in the Sheridan County Detention Center will get to spend more time there after appearing in 4th Judicial District Court this week. 48-year-old Pamela Condos pled guilty to charges of bringing alcohol into the jail earlier this year. The plea was part of an agreement with prosecutors and a sentencing hearing was scheduled for last July.
