RIVERTON, (AP) - The FBI is searching for a man who tied up a bank employee during a robbery in Riverton. FBI officials say the masked robber was armed with a handgun and confronted an employee who was opening the US Bank on North Broadway at about 7:40 Friday morning.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - A spokesman says the one Wyoming Army National Guard soldier at Fort Hood Army base in Texas is accounted for and safe after a mass shooting there. The Army says 12 people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting rampage at the Texas post Thursday afternoon.

The U.S. House is getting ready to put health care reform to a vote. The Affordable Health Care for America Act is scheduled for consideration this weekend, and AARP is giving its stamp of approval.

The City of Sheridan has stopped work on a construction project by Double Eagle LLC. Double Eagle owner Ron Patterson is building a facility that may house the Forward Sheridan offices and small business incubator program. Patterson was moving forward with construction because even if Forward Sheridan is unable to purchase the offices, he believes there is a market for the building.

November is National Hospice Month and the Sheridan Veterans Administration Medical Center operates an inpatient hospice program for veterans at the hospital. The hospice at the VA is a relatively recent addition in the last several years and the facility has used former medical patient rooms to serve hospice needs.

While the Homeowners Association at the Powder Horn PUD south of Sheridan has held a couple of public meetings concerning incorporation, any action is still a long way off. Officers of the Powder Horn HOA were guests on KROE’s Public Pulse program yesterday.
