The fall sports season in Sheridan County School District 2 is coming to an end and winter sports are beginning. The Sheridan High School football team excelled on the field, losing only one game all season, and Activities Director Don Julian says they are starting to get the grade reports for the students.

School District 1 Looking To Receive Stimulus Funding

Some Federal stimulus funds will be used in Sheridan County School District 1. The funds from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act will be distributed through the Title 1 program in the state. However, to qualify for those funds, schools must have a certain ratio of students receiving free or reduced lunches.

Sheridan Mother Charged With Felony In Domestic Dispute

An altercation on Sunday night led to a Sheridan woman being arrested for allegedly attacking her 20-year-old son with a knife. 51-year-old Barbara Barnett made her initial appearance in Sheridan County Circuit Court yesterday on charges of aggravated assault and battery.
