SHERIDAN QUALITY CHILD CARE INCORPORATED REPORTS TO SEEDA THAT FUNDRAISING IS ON TRACK

The Sheridan Quality Child Care Initiative has less than two weeks to raise over $100,000 for the operations of the “Hand in Hand” Early Childhood Education Center. Sheridan Media News Director Kurt Layher has more on the story.

SHERIDAN ECONOMIC AND EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY GETS UPDATES ON BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

The “Hand in Hand” Early Childhood Education center building is currently under construction at the corner of Custer and Brundage Streets. Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority Joint Powers Board Chairman Tom Sachse asked the City of Sheridan to itemize all the City fees that have been waived for the project.

SENATE FILE 16 “FLIES” OUT OF THE SENATE AND INTO THE HOUSE

Senate File 16, known as the “Butterfly Bill,” passed through the Senate 30-0 in its final reading on Monday. The bill was started a year ago by a Big Horn third grade class when Tanner Warder found out that Wyoming didn't have a state insect. He decided to ask the Legislature to make Sheridan's Green Hairstreak Butterfly the State Butterfly through this bill.

VA SUPPORT GROUP STARTS NEXT WEEK

The Veteran's Administration will be starting a support group for veterans of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom next Thursday at the VA. It will be every Thursday at 6:30 pm in room 254 of Building 71, and each week is open-ended, so you don't have to come every week or be there for the first night.

SECOND SERIES OF REGIONAL GAME AND FISH ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOCUSES ON A NUMBER OF IMPORTANT TOPICS

Today we start our second series highlighting some of the many accomplishments of the Sheridan Region Game and Fish Department.
