Park With Plows In Mind

With winter's official entry this weekend, city officials in Sheridan County are reminding citizens to drive with snow compensation in mind. Mayor of Dayton, Bob Wood, said citizens should also park so plows can get through.

Friends of the Library Auction Saturday

The Friends of the Library are hosting their annual silent and live auction fundraiser Saturday night at Sheridan Fulmer Public Library. Executive director, Cameron Duff, said everyone is welcome to purchase tickets at the door.

Senators: Thin Forests Prevent Wildfires

Senators from Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota are encouraging federal officials to use the timber industry to help thin forests prone to wildfires, like ones that raged across their states this summer.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL - It's state championship football weekend in Laramie and for the 4th consecutive year it looks like snow will be in the forecast.

The 6-Man and 3-A state title games will be played today with temperatures in the 50's. That changes tomorrow with snow and temps in the low 20's as the 2-A title will start the day off at 10:00 followed by the 1-A final and 4-A championship at 4:00.

BRONC BASKETBALL - The high school winter sports season starts after school Monday the Sheridan Bronc basketball team will have a new coach taking over as the new season begins.

Warranty Approved For Jo Co Justice Center Phone System

Johnson County's Commissioners approved the purchase of an extended warranty for the justice center's phone systems to protect the building's call center components.

Buffalo Council Approves Fireworks For 'Light Up Buffalo'

At their meeting Tuesday the Buffalo City Council approved a request from the Buffalo Downtown Association to have a fireworks display downtown during their “Light Up Buffalo” celebration November 24th.
