Cowboy Carousel Center Hosting Regional Authors Saturday

This Saturday, December 15, the Cowboy Carousel Committee will be having their first event to help open their new Carousel Center, located in the old, Historic Beutler Building.

Buffalo Senior Center Gains Grant Support From Jo Co

The Buffalo Senior Center approached the Johnson County Commissioners at their last meeting, to ask for support in their application for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to study the center, the community and determine how the center can best serve the community in the future.

Buffalo, Kaycee High School Sports Weekend Preview 12/14

All of Buffalo and Kaycee High School's winter sports teams will be competing this weekend.

The Bison basketball team, 3-1 on the season and ranked No. 2 this week after their loss to 4A Riverton last week, will be at the Flaming Gorge Tournament in Green River today, Friday and Saturday.

The Lady Bison, also 3-1 on the season, will be in Green River this weekend as well.

Spring semester at Sheridan College in Johnson County begins Wednesday, January 9th, and with the Holidays fast approaching, those at the college are encouraging those interested in taking a class or several to begin the process of registering soon.

Officials with Yellowstone National Park have announced the park will open to the public, as scheduled, this Saturday. According to a media release from the National Park Service, visitors can check out some of the park's offerings as early as 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

Merchant Alert: Watch for the Passing of Several $2 Bills

The Sheridan Police Department issued a merchant alert Wednesday due to a recent theft in Sheridan that included a large number of $2 bills. Sheridan Police Detective Jim Arzy said that local businesses should be on the lookout for someone attempting to use several $2 bills to make a purchase.

It's become an annual tradition at the the last Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon of the year to hand out the Business Awards for the year. Business of the Year went to Black Tooth Brewing Company of Sheridan.
