Emergency Management Continues to Keep an Eye on Flood Potential

Flooding last year in Sheridan County.

Earlier this month we told you about Sheridan County Emergency Management receiving an additional 25,000 sandbags to prepare for potential springtime flooding.

Rec. Board Approves Pay Scale Change

The Sheridan Rec. Board approved a pay scale decrease for seasonal part-time employees.

The Sheridan Recreation District Board of Trustees approved a slight decrease in their pay scale for part-time seasonal employees.

Recreation District Executive Director Richard Wright says the decrease has to do with the current economic situation

Earth Day at the Park

There are many events planned to celebrate Earth Day in Sheridan over the next few days.

The 41st anniversary of Earth Day is Friday, and there are no shortage of events in Sheridan to commemorate the event.

From 5:30 to 7 pm this evening the Wyoming Wilderness Association is holding the 5th annual Miniature Art and Music Auction at Davis Gallery.

Bison Soccer Still Tops in 3A

The Bison boys' and girls' soccer teams are still ranked #1 in 3A this week, after the boys beat Newcastle and Torrington and the girls beat Newcastle and tied Torrington last week.
The rest of the rankings in 3A boys are Lander at #2, Jackson at #3, Cody at #4 and Worland at #5.
For the girls, it is Jackson at #2, Cody at #3, Lander at #4 and Torrington at #5.

Buffalo Is Pilot City for National Tourism Week

Buffalo will be one of five communities in the State of Wyoming that will host National Tourism Week May 7-15.

Car Fire in Downtown Sheridan Extinguished Quickly

The Sheridan Fire-Rescue Department responded to a vehicle fire on North Scott Street at approximately 10:20 Wednesday morning.

The Sheridan Broncs jumped on the Campbell County (Gillette) Camels twice in the first 10-minutes Tuesday night and never looked back as they made it three wins in a row. The final score seen here came midway through the 2nd half when Colby Wollenman took control of the ball, punching it past Camel's Brandon Swan and goalie Jordan Rueschoff.
