Kendrick Park Ice Cream Prices Rise

Sheridan Recreation District Business Manager, Rich Bridger, says he will raise the price of ice cream in the hut at Kenderick Park this summer.

The Centers for Disease Control estimates that, in 2010, 35.7 percent of Americans are obese, and another 33.3 percent of people are overweight. In fact, the United States ranks number one worldwide for overeating.

JCSD1 Approves Forming Health Policy Committee

Johnson County School District One Board of Trustees heard a presentation from board member Dr. Grace Gosar on the health of students and staff of the district.
She gave the trustees a short quiz to test their “Health IQ” with most trustees not getting a favorable grade.
