Parade Canceled, 10 a.m. Ceremony Moved to VA Auditorium

Sheridan Media has just been informed that the Memorial Day Parade has been canceled due to inclement weather. The ceremony has been moved to the VA Auditorium and is set to start at 10 a.m.

UW Football Camp Returns to Sheridan June 3

University of Wyoming football coach Dave Christensen and his staff will be holding traveling football camps all across Wyoming for the second consecutive year.

Severe Weather Warnings Tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch in Sheridan, Campbell and Cook Counties, which is in effect until 10 p.m. tonight. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected in southeast Montana and north-central Wyoming.


The Sheridan Troopers opened the Gillette Memorial day tournament with an 11-6 win over Regina,Saskatchewan.
They beat Rock Springs 10-2.

On Sunday they lost 6-2 against the Gillette Rustlers.

Monday afternoon they blew out the Billings Halos 14-2 and lost Monday night against the Gillette Roughriders 8-7.

The Troopers stand with an overall record of 7-5 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

The Troops play a double header in Wheatland Sunday and on June 4th they play a conference game in Gillette.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation is planning to replace a western Wyoming bridge where a bicyclist fell over a guardrail and died last year but the project won't happen until at least 2016.

MacKenzie, Arveda/Clearmont Graduations Today

There are two high school graduation ceremonies going on in Sheridan County today. Fort MacKenzie High School is presenting diplomas to graduates this afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Junior High School Early buidling. The ceremony will feature a bagpipe player.

Business Council Notes Farmers' Market Impact

The Wyoming Business Council says those little farmers markets in the state have a big impact on the economy.

Data compiled by the council's Agribusiness Division says the markets contributed more than $2.2 million to the state's economy in 2012.
