Senator Enzi Weighs in on Minimum Wage Issue

The last time Congress passed legislation to raise the minimum wage was in 2007, during the George W. Bush administration when it was $5.15 an hour. The law eventually bumped the wage up to its current $7.25 level in 2009.

It was the first of its kind held Saturday at Sheridan College in the Whitney Presentation Hall. The Wellness Council of Sheridan County held a day-long Wellness Festival with activities and information on the eight dimensions of wellness.

The Elks Northwest District Hoop Shoot

The Elks Northwest District Hoop Shoot, hosted by Sheridan Lodge #520, was held on January 26 at the Sheridan College Hoffman Dome.

Eighteen kids and families from Cody, Greybull, Worland, Buffalo, Dayton, Big Horn, and Sheridan braved the weather to compete for a chance to go to the State Hoop Shoot.

The winners were: 8 - 9 Girls: 1. Kennedi Niemann, Cody, 14/25 5/5
