Game & Fish Has New Game Warden In Kaycee

Grant Gerharter is the new game warden for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department in Kaycee, replacing former Kaycee game warden Kyle Lash.

At their meeting this morning, the Johnson County Commissioners will be discussing possible avenues for funding the proposed Johnson County Library expansion project.

Council Denies Step Increases for Three Firefighters

In 2010, the Sheridan City Council voted to freeze the salaries of all City employees due to budget constraints. As part of that freeze, five firefighters with Sheridan Fire-Rescue were denied 5 percent wage increases as part of their step increase after receiving an annual satisfactory evaluation.

Wrench Ranch II Annexation Approved

The Sheridan City Council approved the Wrench Ranch II annexation Monday night on third and final reading. An amendment to the original ordinance was approved prior to the Council taking action on the item. The amendment was a request from the Sheridan V.A.

SC RODEO RESULTS

The women’s team finished finished 4th led by Sophomore Teddi Schwagler. Teddi had a great run in the goat tying in the long round placing 2nd with a time of 9.0, in the short round mud she had a time of 9.1 placing 2nd in the round and 1st in the average, earning 160 team points.

Freshman Shai Schaefer from Torrington, WY had a good run in the long round and made it back to the short round with a time of 10.3, in the mud she was a little slower with a time of 10.6 placing her 7th overall, I was happy with her performance considering she is coming off of a knee injury.

WEEKEND LOCAL SPORTS WRAP UP

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs won at Evanston 35-14 Friday night. The Broncs had their struggles in the game with more turnovers and some costly penalties but they got on track too the lead away from Evantson and put it away late with two scores in the last five minutes, Head coach Don Julian.

The Broncs are still 3-0 and that's the main thing, but the schedule starts getting tougher this week. The Broncs host Cheyenne East Friday night kick off is early at 6:00.

Council to Hear From Consultant on Fiber Connectivity

The Sheridan City Council will receive a report from Public Works and consultant Joe Sharkey this evening regarding fiber connectivity in the Sheridan area. City Councilman Alex Lee says that the report should be very interesting.
