The Advocacy and Resource Center in Sheridan has been providing their services to the residents of Sheridan County for three decades, and Monday they held an open house.

In a media release issued by the Office of the Sheridan County and Prosecuting Attorney, it is noted that Sheridan County was contacted several months ago by a representative of the trust established by the former Sheridan County Clerk, Audrey Koltiska.

The Camels Smoke the Broncs

In front of a standing room only crowd on Thursday evening Sheridan's Raith Durham hits a free-throw in the first period of play to draw the Broncs within 9 against the Campbell County Camels. The 2nd ranked Camels were just too much for the 3rd ranked Sheridan Broncs who came up on the short end of the 54-41final score.

Sheridan's Heavy Weight Wrestler Alex Marty makes it two on the day as he wins both of his matches on Saturday. In this match Alex pinned John Powers of Cheyenne East in a time of 1:56. Overall Sheridan came came very close in both of the day's meets - with Cheyenne Central is was 36-42 and Cheyenne East 36-42. Lacking a wrestler in the 103 weight class cost Sheridan 6-points in each meet.

SHERIDAN SHOOTERS WIN IN WORLAND

4TH GRADE SHERIDAN SHOOTERS

The 4th Grade Sheridan Shooters won the Pepsi-Cola Basketball Challenge over the weekend in Worland.

We beat Buffalo in the first round 32-24, Worland in the second round 48-21, Gillette in the semi-fimals 50-19 and then beat Buffalo in the Championship game 36-25.

Great Turnout for Ducks Unlimited

Another successful Ducks Unlimited Banquet in Sheridan.

It was a full house Saturday night as over 300 people took part in the annual Sheridan County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited banquet held at the Holiday Inn.

Well over 800 people showed up at the Best Western Sheridan Center Saturday night in support of 5-year-old Jacob Ahrens. It was a benefit dinner to help with the medical expenses for the little guy who was diagnosed with an inoperable mid-brain tumor last December.

Battle of the Brains at SCC

Thirteen teams from eight high schools around the state competed in the 15th Annual Wyoming Academic Challenge at Sheridan College Saturday with Sheridan High School taking third place honors.
