Blackout Cancer Week at BHS

Buffalo High School's Student Council is holding their second annual fundraiser called Blackout Cancer, to benefit Johnson County residents fighting cancer. Joyce Hall, Student Council Advisor, explains what the week is about.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals play at Miles City, Montana tonight both teams currently hold the lead in the north sub region.

The generals go after wins 19 and 20 this week Head coach Steve Smiley says the regular season is starting to run short.

The Generals beat both Miles and Dawson at home and Smiley expects tougher games this week starting tonight in Miles City.

And he says it won't be a picnic in Glendive Sunday either.

A hearing was held Tuesday in 4th Judicial District Court in Sheridan on a Motion to Withdraw the Guilty Plea of Defendant Steven Kruger, who previously plead guilty to Felony Child Abuse and two misdemeanors, Child Endangerment and Unlawful Use of a Controlled Substance.

The Wyoming State Senate advanced a bill that would establish a state education accountability program to monitor K-12 education.

Cause of Death: Hypothermia

An autopsy conducted Tuesday morning in Billings, Montana on the Sheridan man found lying in the road this weekend has revealed the cause of death. Sheridan County Deputy Coroner Kevin Sessions confirmed that 26-year-old Kelly Eugene Claar died from hypothermia.

Lu Lu's Cafe at 118 N. Brooks is applying for a restaurant liquor license at the City Council's meeting Monday evening. The Cafe is currently being remodeled with Lynn Sedar and her partner Andy Ayres hoping to reopen for Valentine's Dinner, complete with a restaurant liquor license, on February 12th.

A Number of Cases Were Heard in District Court Tuesday

Numerious cases were heard in 4th Judicial District Court in Sheridan Tuesday.

A probation revocation hearing was held Tuesday morning in 4th Judicial District Court in Sheridan for 26-year-old Amanda Craig of Sheridan.

District 2 Board Honors Jason Hillman

At the February Sheridan County School District 2 Board of Directors meeting Monday night, Trustees honored Meadowlark Elementary School Principal Jason Hillman, who was recently named Wyoming's National Elementary Distinguished Principal of the Year.
