Tongue River Side Celebrates Gill, Belish

At Tuesday's Sheridan County School District 1 Board of Trustees meeting, the Board and Superintendent Sue Belish honored Barbarann Gill, who has retired after over twenty years as Transportation Coordinator for the District.

Sheridan County Approves Budget Amendment

At Tuesday's Sheridan County Commission meeting, the Board unanimously approved a Budget Amendment Resolution to transfer unencumbered and unexpended funds.

Sheridan College Men's Basketball Coach Steve Smiley is proud to announce today the signing of Baltimore, MD native Wayne Bradford. The 6'3", 185 pound guard will come to Sheridan from the east coast where he played basketball for Roanoke Catholic High School in Virginia and legendary coach Bill Hodges (Former Head Coach at Indiana State).

TROOPERS ON THE ROAD TONIGHT

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers have a road double header in Cheyenne tonight which starts a stretch of six games on the road through the weekend.

The Troops are 20-7 overall and coming off a 3-1 road swing at a tournament in Spearfish, South Dakota.

They've won 12 of their last 14 games and are playing well right now Head coach Ben Phillips says it's been a great run so far.

A century-old Wyoming fish culture facility will debut a new look in early July as the Story Fish Hatchery will host an open house to showcase their remodeled and upgraded facility.

Beginning July 1st, the Sheridan Police Department will be conducting VIN and HIN inspections on a schedule basis only. Currently the P.D. does inspections pretty much anytime throughout the week.

Jo Co Commission Hires New Assistant

The Johnson County Commissioners extended an offer of employment for the commissioner's assistant position that will become vacant with the retirement this Friday of current assistant Peggy Sillivan.

Buffalo Council Denies Waiving of Fees for County

The Buffalo City Council, at their meeting Tuesday night, denied a request from the Johnson County Commissioners to waive the fees associated with the proposed new recycling center which the county is funding.
