Gunnar Edeen Guns A Big League Kick

In a losing cause Friday night in the 100th meeting between the Casper Natrona Mustangs and the Sheridan Broncs Gunnar Edeen hits a 51-yard field goal out of the hold of Kameron Eckard with 5.44 to go in the 1st half. The kick by Gunnar gave the Broncs their first home field points of the new season.

The Sheridan Broncs suffered a loss against Natrona in their second game of the season. The final score was Sheridan Broncs 13, Natrona 35.

In other local scores: Tongue River fell against Lyman 56 to 0. Buffalo defeated Worland 41 to 0. The Big Horn Rams dominated Greybull 49 to 6.

More Accurate Mapping Shows Gilead at 730 Acres

The Bighorn National Forest has announced that due to more accurate mapping, the Gilead Fire northwest of Buffalo is now reported to be 730 acres in size. Fire officials had estimated the size of the fire at more than 900 acres early Friday.

Governor Mead Applauds Wolf Delisting Announcement

Wyoming Governor Matt Mead issued a statement regarding the announcement by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service removing wolves from the endangered species list in Wyoming.
