SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Lady Generals split their weekend tournament games, they blew out Salish-Kootenai 107-46 on Friday and dropped a 51-48 game against Eastern Wyoming Saturday.

They sit at 6-2 as they get ready to host the Lions club Thanksgiving tournament Friday and Saturday.

The Generals picked up to impressive road wins over the weekend they beat Northeastern Junior college from Sterling, Colorado 73-62 and Williston, North Dakota 82-77 to run their record to 6-1 overall.

NRDC Explains Federal Suit Against Wolf Hunts

The Natural Resource Defense Council filed a federal lawsuit against the state of Wyoming last week alleging the wolf management plan currently enforced by the state will not enable survival of the species. Wolves were removed from the Endangered Species List earlier this year.

At their last meeting the Johnson County Commissioners approved the chair to sign a Homeland Security Grant for $6,224.45 to go to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.

At their last meeting the Johnson County School Board received a positive report from Buffalo High School Principal Chad Bourgeois on the testing results and subsequent improvements from the graduating class of 2013.

County All-State Football Selections

The 2012 All-State Football Selections by the Wyoming Coaches Association have been announced and Sheridan County has 10-players on the list. From Sheridan High School are: Mitch Goodwin, Cody Delk, Nate Kane and Collin Eisenman - From Normative Services: Kevin Keim - From Big Horn High School: Will O'Dell, Lucas Wollenman, Scott Passini, Connor McCafferty and Matthew Wigglesworth.
