Pyrotechnics Planning for Equestrian Center

The public is invited to Bruce Burns' annual Fireworks Extravaganza at the Big Horn Equestrian Center on Monday, July 4th.

It's been well over twenty years since Senator Bruce Burns began sharing his love of pyrotechnics with the community at the annual July 4th Fireworks Show at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.

Barrel Racers to Invade Jo Co Fairgrounds This Weekend

The Kick 'Em Up Cans Barrel Races will happen this Saturday and Sunday at the Johnson County Fairgrounds Arena.

Buffalo Accepts Bid for New Police Vehicle

The Buffalo City Council, at last week's meeting accepted a bid for a new police vehicle and a bid for outfitting the unit with lights, radios and other needed equipment.

Jo Co Approves Changes to Regulations

The Johnson County Commissioners, at last week's meeting, heard from county attorney Ken DeCock regarding changes he proposed to the Animal Control Regulations currently being amended, and to regulations at the Mikesell/Potts Recreation area at Lake DeSmet.

FREEDOM-FEST 2011

2011 "FREEDOMFEST" - The Sheridan Rec District along with Sheridan Media, Kilpatrick Creations and Pepsi will host "Freedom-Fest" on the 4th of July.

It's an event for the whole family and will take place behind the old Woodland park school from 10 am to 2 pm on the 4th.

Sheridan Rec District Adult Sports Specialist Dale Boedecker talks about their newest event "Freedomfest".

Food and refreshments will be provided, they will be having lots of kids and family games and it's all free.

Lookin' Good after the Closure

Great Lakes flight 7220 from Denver to Sheridan arrived Tuesday evening just as the sun was setting over the Bighorns. The Sheridan County Airport is back in operation after last weekend's closure for major construction on the main runway.

U.S. 14 Detour May Be Open For Travel This Friday

A little over a week ago the Wyoming Department of Transportation hired a contractor to build a detour around a slide that has forced U.S. 14 to be closed since June 13th.

The Great Wall of Sheridan

The Sheridan Junior High School "Soldier Pile Wall Project" engineered by Vista West Engineering of Sheridan is nearing completion. The 2.14 acre project on the Sheridan County School District No. 2 property included excavation of unstable soils; installation of a soldier pile retaining wall and tieback system; and slope grading seen here.
