At the request of Buffalo's City Council, State Senator John Schiffer (R-Kaycee) was at last week's council meeting to report on happenings at the state level.

Bison Gridders Face Star Valley On Friday

The Buffalo Bison football team was in Rawlins Friday night to take on the Outlaws. The game was over by the end of the first quarter. Literally.
Due to a lighting problem at the field, the game was called late in the first quarter with the Bison up 21-0.
After a number of attempts failed to get the lighting fixed, officials called the game.
Collin Rodriguez ran for two scores and threw for the third to Kaleb Rodriguez before the game ended.

Bill Would Allow More Rec Activities at Ski Areas on US Forest Land

Update: Hospital Foundation Director Ada Kirven said that while they are still totaling donations from Saturday's Link event, an estimated $35,000 was raised for the Welch Cancer Center.

The band shell at Kendrick Park had quite a collection Saturday. There were dogs, guinea pigs, a pony and even a goat all decked out in their Halloween finery.

Raising Readers in Wyoming

Hundreds of parents and kids filled Sheridan Junior High Saturday, all part of the Raising Readers in Wyoming program. It was the 5th Annual Book Fest and Feast, to encourage parents to read to their kids.

Emergency Dispatch Center Phones in Johnson County Repaired

The Emergency Dispatch Center at the Johnson County Criminal Justice Center had been having problems with their phone lines since Saturday afternoon, but they are currently back up and functional.

Wright too much for Big Horn in the Title Match

The Big Horn Lady Rams kept the first game against the Lady Panthers from Wright close until Brittany Belt, belted this one over the net and past the block of Lady Rams Jadyn Mirich and Mali Wright to make the score 23 to 19. The Lady Rams then took a time out but could not bounce back as the Lady Panthers took the first game 25-21.
