This Weekend Full of Events in Buffalo

This weekend will wrap up the Johnson County Fair and Rodeo with the final days at the fairgrounds, but other events throughout the community will also be going on.

Gatchell to Host Community Day Saturday in Buffalo

Another happening in Buffalo this weekend is the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum's Community Day on Saturday, August 6. The museum will be open with free admission, specials in the gift/bookstore and a book signing with local author Gil Bollinger.

Buffalo's Annual Klondike Rush Saturday

The Johnson County Family YMCA will be having their 33rd Annual Klondike Rush this Saturday. Touting itself as “The run 'neath the Big Horns, Wyoming's oldest and finest 10K/5K run,” the race will bring nearly 200 runners into Buffalo to participate, according to YMCA Director Mike Quast.

An opening reception was held for two local artists Thursday night at the Fulmer Public Library.


HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team leaders and coaches will spend today in the Big Horn mountains as part of their preseason prep.

The Sheridan high school booster club will hold their golf scramble tomorrow at the Powder Horn and Sunday the Broncs will host their player / parent meeting at 4:00 at Sheridan high school.

Spring runoff is a thing of the past as evidenced by this view of Little Goose Creek on Wednesday. And to think it was only a few weeks ago that the Kiwanis Duck Race had to be moved to the Kendrick Pool slide because of safety concerns over the high, fast moving creek water.
