Dept. of Ed. Holding Public Hearing on Proposed Seclusion & Restraint Rules Wednesday in Sheridan

The Wyoming Department of Education will hold a meeting to hear public comment about the proposed Chapter 42 Education Rules on Seclusion and Restraint Wednesday in Sheridan at Fort Mackenzie High School from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.

Call it what you like - in fact you can almost call it finished. The guard rails are in place, the signs are up, the chip seal is down, the striping has been applied, the shoulders have been dressed and the flaggers are gone. All that remains is seeding along the dressed shoulders and perhaps one more pass of the sweeper down the center to pick up dust and grit from the chip seal.

SCSD2 Construction Update, Meadowlark School on Schedule

Sheridan County School District No. 2 received construction updates on the Meadowlark school project and other district improvement projects from Superintendent Craig Dougherty at their monthly meeting Monday.


SC Rodeo coach Marc Gilkerson

This weekend was very encouraging for our rodeo program. On our womens team sophomore Chelsey Kelly split 5th and 6th in the goat tying in the long round with a time of 8.5, she was 5th in the short round with a time of 7.9 and placed 5th in the average.

Johnson County Schools See Increase in Students

Enrollment at Johnson County School District No. 1 for the fall of 2011 is 1,303 students, an increase of 61 district-wide from the end of the school year. Data collected shows a steady increase in students during the last few years.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams head to Casper today for matches at Kelly Walsh high school.

They are coming off a three day road trip that saw them win eight of ten matches combined Head coach Bob Faurot says they did very well during that tough stretch of matches.

The season starting to come to a close as the state tournament is only three weeks away.
