It's Snowing in Big Horn

No doubt the Big Horn Mercantile Company has seen lots of snow since it opened in 1882. But perhaps this photo taken at 7:30 pm on Wednesday evening, some 131-years later, offers a different viewing perspective. Can you imagine arriving by horseback at the Merc some 100+ years ago, tying your horse to the hitching post in front of the window on the right and heading in to warm-up by the stove?

Twenty local students earned a spot on the President's Honor Roll at Sheridan College. For this achievement, these students must have maintained full-time enrollment by completing 12 or more college-level credit hours with letter grades of A or S and a semester GPA of 4.0 for every single class.

Winter Driving Tips from WYDOT

Winter weather has arrived in Northeast Wyoming, as evidenced by the handful of semi-truck accidents just on Interstate 90 between Sheridan and Buffalo Tuesday night. This weather can cause highway surfaces to be slick and unpredictable, and when you factor in poor visibility and blowing snow, driving can be dangerous. Sheridan Media's Chris Foy has more.

Power Outage Affected Some Sheridan Neighborhoods Wednesday

A representative with Montana Dakota Utilities says at approximately 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, the power went out on the 1900 block of Big Horn Avenue and in some other areas in Sheridan. Technicians with MDU were dispatched and eventually restored power a few hours later.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals are back on the court in the Hoffman dome tonight hosting conference games with Little Big Horn community college games are at 5:30 and 7:30 and we will have them live for you on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

The Lady Generals have never lost to Little Big Horn but Head coach Frank McCarthy says the Rams have a very good team this year and the Lady Generals have a good challenge in front of them tonight.
