Woodward hit for 26 in Cowgirl victory

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams swept the Casper college T-Birds, the Lady Generals won 71-53 they held a twenty point halftime lead.

They held off a Casper run early in the 2nd half and slowly pulled away for the victory, Head coach Frank McCarthy called it a great way to start off the new year.

New Director Takes Over Buffalo Downtown Association

Jennifer Haskins took over the BDA recently, and has overseen a number of events already, and is ready to get to work in her new position.

Haskins said she was born in Illinois but moved to Wyoming as a child, and graduated from Campbell County High School before moving back to Illinois.

Game and Fish Combining Two Publications

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department, citing more efficient budget and staffing concerns, will merge two of its publications beginning this month.

City, County Back Critical Air Service

Both Johnson County and the City of Buffalo signed an agreement acknowledging the Sheridan Airport for “critical air service,” and backing a request for more funding from the state for the critical air service program.

It's time once again to take a look back at some of this past week's top stories with our Sheridan Media Week in Review.

In a recent release, Wyoming's Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill blasted lawmakers over the rules of an upcoming hearing. She says she's dissatisfied, in general, with the Legislature's Select Investigative Committee's plan to hold the hearings, focusing on her administration of the department, before taking action to remove her from office. She continues to deny any wrongdoing.
