Rec District Halloween Carnival Today

Kids who can't wait to wear their costumes are in luck. The Sheridan Recreation District is hosting a Halloween carnival this afternoon from 2-4 at the old Woodland Park school. Director, Richard Wright, extends the formal invite.

Passing through Laramie after an unsuccessful antelope hunt, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia stopped at the University of Wyoming to make an impassioned and humorous case for sticking to the original meaning of the U.S. Constitution.

BHMC Meeting Held In Buffalo This Week

The Bighorn Mountain Coalition held their quarterly meeting in Buffalo on Wednesday to discuss economic concerns of the four counties; Big Horn, Washakie, Sheridan and Johnson, surrounding the Bighorn Mountains.

Sheridan Advances to the Semi-Finals

Sheridan's running back senior Nate Kane slid into the end zone on his back before raising the ball in his right hand in unison with the official raising both of his arms to signal "TD." Bronc QB Kevin Bakkehaug pitched the ball to Kane who 5-seconds later was in the end zone with 7:10 to go in the 1st quarter for the first score of the game.

US Supreme Court Sets Aside Sentence of Wyoming Teen

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The U.S. Supreme Court has vacated a life sentence for a Wyoming teenager in the 2009 home invasion killing of a Sheridan man. The court this month sent Wyatt Bear Cloud's case back to the Wyoming Supreme Court for reconsideration.

Mead Makes Appointment to Fill State Treasurer Vacancy

Governor Matt Mead has announced that he's chosen Mark Gordon to fill the State Treasurer vacancy. Gordon was one of three candidates the Wyoming Republican Party Central Committee sent to Governor Mead to replace Joe Meyer who passed away on October 6th.
