USFS Prepping Bighorn National Forest For Summer Use

The United States Forest Service is busy gearing up for the upcoming summer season, with its unofficial opening Memorial Day Weekend.

High School Soccer, Track Wrap Up Seasons At State

Both the high school soccer and track and field seasons wrapped up this past weekend at their State Championship events.

The Bison and Lady Bison soccer teams were at the Big Horn Equestrian Center and finished fourth and second respectively.

The boys opened Thursday with a win over Cody 3-2, then fell to Jackson 2-0 Friday and finished their season with a 4-1 loss to Lander on Saturday to take fourth at State.
Jackson took the State Title, Worland was second and Lander third.

Buffalo Council Gets Update From Police Department

Buffalo Police Sergeant Garth Nicholas gave the monthly police report to the city council at their meeting Tuesday, discussing the Snap It/Click It program, the extension of the application deadline for a patrol officer and requesting approval to order a new patrol vehicle.

Lion's Club Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby This Weekend

The 29th annual Buffalo Lion's Club Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby will be this coming Memorial Day Weekend.

It was cowboy hats and boots that ruled this past weekend at the Sheridan Holiday Inn. It was the 19th annual Rocky Mountain Leather Trade Show.

Trees for Trash

It was a steady stream of flatbeds, horse trailers, and pick-up trucks making a trip to the dump. Saturday was the annual “Trees for Trash” event where folks could clean up and take that trash to the Sheridan City Landfill or smaller loads to the U-S Bank parking lot, all for free.
