Buffalo Waives Permit for New Courtroom Facility

The Buffalo City Council, at last week's meeting, voted to waive the building permit fee for the county's new courtroom facility, which is scheduled to begin construction later this month.

Jo Co Extends Agreement with UW for Employee

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their meeting last week, agreed to extend the service agreement contract with the University of Wyoming for an employee at the local extension office.

Jo Co Fair and Rodeo Wraps for 2011

Sheridan Media was well represented at the 2011 Johnson County Fair and Rodeo Parade last Saturday.

The 2011 Johnson County Fair and Rodeo wrapped up its week-long run this weekend with the rodeo performances Saturday and Sunday, the Junior Livestock Sale Saturday night, and the main event this weekend, the Fair and Rodeo Parade Saturday morning.

It was the 6th annual Big West Arts Festival held over the weekend on the front lawn of Sheridan College. It was an art-goers delight as more than 60 artists had their work on display.

Bobbers, hooks, and worms were the order of the morning as twenty-five little fishermen showed up Saturday at the Rotary Pond in Ranchester for a fabulous morning of catching fish.

Just before the Sunday afternoon rain shower Jeff (JB) Brown from Portland Oregon had many of his flags-a-flying on the vacant lot in front of Home Depot - making the U.S. flag on top of Home Depot look rather small flying off in the distant. Zowada Steel bid just $45 on the team that garnered them Calcutta Winnings of $374.40 while the team took home $168.
