Weekend Preview For Buffalo, Kaycee High School Sports

Weekend sports action for Johnson County's high school athletes will get underway today.

Buffalo's volleyball team will be on the road tonight at Newcastle with matches scheduled at 4 and 5pm, and the girls will then travel to Worland Friday to take on the Lady Warriors with matches at 5 and 6pm.

Gatchell's Fall Gathering Saturday At Fairgrounds

The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum's annual Fall Gathering fundraiser will be from 6 to 9pm this Saturday at the Johnson County Fairgrounds' Community Building.

BDA Seeking Director, Getting Training From State

The Buffalo Downtown Association (BDA) has been advertising for a new director for a number of weeks now, and they are still taking applications for someone to take over for former Director Marie Verger, who has moved on to other pursuits, according to Nick Thom with the BDA.

A media release issued by the Sheridan Police Department states that at approximately 1330 hrs on October 9, 2012, the Sheridan Police Department received a report of a Golden Eagle perched on a house on the 1600 block of South Thurmond Ave.

Cutting the Ribbon

A couple of years ago, the Story Parks Board approached the Sheridan County Commissioners about new equipment and upgrades to Story Centennial Park. Wednesday, a ceremonial ribbon cutting was held at the park after a lot of people came together to make the new additions possible.

Bike-Tober Fest is Saturday

WGFD Needs Budget Input from Public

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is hosting a statewide meeting Thursday night to hear public thoughts and suggestions regarding the department's budgetary concerns.
