Cleaning Up the Mess

The cleanup from last week's snowstorm continues, as crews with the City of Sheridan as well as many residents have been busy cleaning up the mess from the many downed trees in the area.

Council to Receive Cap Tax Presentation Tonight

The Sheridan City Council will be receiving a presentation tonight at their regularly scheduled meeting that will focus on the Capital Facilities Tax. The renewal of the tax will be determined by Sheridan County voters on November 5th.

THE WEEKEND LOCAL SPORTS WRAP UP

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs played at Gillette Saturday after weather delayed most of last week's sporting events around the state.

The Broncs scored on their first play from scrimmage, they took a 10-6 lead at the end of the first quarter but those were the only points they would get as Gillette took a 19-10 lead at halftime.

They shut the Broncs out in the second half and won 39-10.

Broncs Head coach Don Julian says they ran into a very good team Saturday.

Bombs Away!

Sunday, the Sheridan College Veterans Club sponsored its COMBAT Color Fun Run. Participants dressed in white t-shirts, could either run three miles or walk a mile and a quarter, but either way, enemy combatants met them and attacked with colored powder.

Matter's What Matters

A slew of elementary wanna-be scientists participated in this month's Science Saturday, held in Sheridan College's science center. This month's topic was all about matter. Rob Milne helped coordinate the event.

It will soon be a week since the government shut down and next, the United States may begin defaulting on its bills unless the debt ceiling is raised. Who's at fault...President Obama, the Republicans, the Democrats or all three? Is there even room for any kind of compromise?

Weather Affects Weekend High School Sports In Jo Co

The first big weather event of the school year began last Thursday and affected weekend sports all over the state, including in Johnson County.

The Bison's home football game with Riverton, scheduled for Friday night, was postponed until Saturday, originally for a 1 o'clock kickoff.

BHS Drama To Perform 'The Three Musketeers'

Buffalo High School's Drama Department will be performing their version of “The Three Musketeers” this Friday and Saturday at Buffalo High School.
